Episode 10 - The Train From Hell
It’s spring in Alaska, and the warm weather brings a new set of challenges for the off grid homesteaders, as they carry out essential repairs and tend their land. J.T. Evans and Kip Boers come to the aid of Felicia Tooth as she tries to construct a water pulley system. Whilst the Dynes family are on a mission to buy bees and livestock for their homestead. On the railroad Bill, Wanda and George are preparing one of the most dangerous freight trains of the year. The train is loaded with tons of high explosives for a rock quarry, and millions of dollars of mining equipment.
Track crew Darin and Walt are scrambled to clear a mass of rocks that threaten the tracks but with minutes to spare their excavator has sprung a hydraulic leak. While the railroad Police are called in to deal with a 4-wheel trespasser stuck on the line ahead of the speeding train – can they get it off the tracks in time?
