Having gained a post graduate diploma in journalism from City University, Misbah cut her journalistic teeth in regional BBC newsrooms across the country before embarking on a successful career at ITV/ GMTV.
Thrown into the deep end of night shifts and live tv, she covered a fast paced, ever changing landscape of breaking news, covering stories of general elections, the death of Princess Diana and 911. Moving into features, she quickly became an expert in lifestyle and entertainment programming eventually creating her own highly rated, weekly live show “Entertainment Today”. This was basically an excuse to feature all her favourite shows from set visits to The West Wing/Friends and CSI or covering film premieres, The Oscars, Harry Potter set visits as well as interviewing most of her favourite actors and musicians like George Clooney, Robert de Niro, Julie Andrews and the cast of The Sound of Music - her favourite musical!
After leaving ITV she worked for a variety of independent companies exec producing many factual entertainment BAFTA ad RTS winning shows including A Place In The Sun, The Only Way Is Essex, Strictly Come Dancing, The Great Interior Design Challenge…. and was also a Commissioning Editor of C4’s Big Brother for 5 years.
With an eclectic cv, Misbah first joined Windfall in 2015 on a freelance basis but in 2018 the lure of working on a show filming an 8ft wide Victoria Sponge meant she couldn’t leave. Misbah has produced Monster Food, Cabin Truckers, The World’s Most Secret Homes and currently has several series in production.
When she isn’t working she’s singing with her choir every Thursday night!
